Welcome !

Our Troop was established in 2003 and resides in the Dan Patch District of the Northern Star Council. We meet all year round twice a month in Shakopee. We aim to run a boy-driven program with an active advancement program. We have monthly outings that include camping trips, biking trips, hiking trips and district camporees. We currently have over 30 active boys in multiple Patrols. We camp using the Patrol Method with our own Troop patrol boxes and equipment. Our Troop Committee consists of dedicated parent volunteers who believe strongly in the aims of Scouts BSA. To date, over 45 Troop 619 scouts have achieved the rank of Eagle Scout.

Spelunk, spelunk, spelunking? Troop 619 is going spelunking (cave exploring). On Saturday, November 6 - Sunday, November 7, not only will you get to explore every crack, crevice and hole in Eagle Cave, but you will also get a chance to sleep in it. With four main levels to the cave and over 3,000 feet of passages you won't run out of cave to explore. Eagle Cave provides the food and also has a cool arcade full of games. All this for only $65! We will leave early on Saturday and return on Sunday afternoon. Prepare to get dirty beyond imagining.

Rank Advancement Information Online

Posted on Aug 1 2018 - 9:46am

Are you unclear about what you need to complete in order to achieve your next rank? Do you have enough service hours completed for your next rank? You'll want to make sure you have everything completed when you sign up for your scoutmaster conference. One of the exciting features on our new Troopmaster web site (different than this one) is that scouts and their parents can look at the advancement information we enter into TroopMaster (our advancement software). You can see when you completed each rank, all the merit badges you have earned, all that you have completed towards your next rank and all that you have left to do for your next rank.
